ABS laws

Honda have been force to retire a large portion of it’s smaller capacity road bike due to a change in the Anti Lock Braking (ABS) laws.

The Law

From November 2019, Australia will fall in line with the likes of Europe and Japan by mandating that all new road-registerable bikes sold must be equipped with anti-lock braking (ABS) as standard. In effect, the new rules are harmonising with the current EU standards.

Models affected

This will prodomanantley affect all of Honda’s smaller capacity models. The Grom, CB125e, The Monkey, CT110, Super Cub, and Scooters.
